Migal Chemical Service Laboratory began its activity in 1981, and employs about 10 workers. The laboratory is equipped with the newest instruments, Chromatography systems: GCs and HPLCs with variety of detectors, Including GCMS and LCMS. Spectroscopic and Spectrophotometric instruments Including ICP, AAS, UV-Vis, FTIR and Fluorescence spectrophotometers; Ion Selective Electrode systems, Sample preparation systems including laboratory microwave, and more.


We apply analytical chemistry techniqueto the understanding of uknowen environmental problems. We are using HPLC and gas chromatography with a varience of detectors; gas chromatographic mass spectrometry (GCMS) for trace levels analysis of of toxic environmental pollutants; LCMS for direct ionic and non-ionic organic compounds pollution in water. Specific research areas include: rquickandomal and continues water and air monitoring, development of quick analytical methods for water analysis; development of multi residue analysis methods; and development of sampling technique.
 
 
 
The microbiological laboratory was founded in 1983, with the aim of giving microbiological analysis services to the food industry in the upper Galilee area. Since then, a long list of regular customers was added to the laboratory: many food and beverage companies, important mineral water industries, Baby (and other) hygienic products, water from all sources (mineral water, more than 60 swimming pools, drinking water, water for industry, water in health centers, waste waters, rivers and lakes...).
 
 
Since 1985 there is a fish disease laboratory working in Migal, to attend all the fish farms of the upper Galilee area.
 
 
 

The Organic Chemistry laboratory have ten years experience in the production technology, analysis and identification of ingredients in plant extracts and the validation of analytic methods (GC, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR & UV - 13C NMR and 1H NMR spectroscopy). The laboratory provides the preparation of formulate from extracts to obtain specific final products, required specifically stability of active principles. The laboratory has connections with all of the large firms in Israel and a number abroad.
The laboratory has tree main topics:

  1. Development analyses methods for natural extracts.
  2. Service analysis for manufacturers that deal with herbal extracts for usage in food and the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Lab Quality Control

MIGAL service laboratories are working according to the international standards requirements of ISO/IEC DIS 17025 (which replaced the ISO/IEC Guide 25:1990 and EN 45001). The laboratories have accreditation according to ISO 9001:2000. This standard is a result of the extensive experience based on international standards, ISO/IEC Guide 25:1990, ISO 9000(E), ISO 9001:2000(E), and ISO 9004:2000(E). It meets the requirements that an organization has to, in order to demonstrate a reliable, controlling quality system.

The quality system in our laboratories ensures responsible and reliable services.

The process of assuring the quality of test results for the benefit of our client includes:
  1. Replicate tests for the same samples.
  2. Methods are based and performed, on validated methods based on international Standards such as AOAC, EPA and FDA, and on national standard and requirements, such as The National Standards Institution of Israel, The ministry of health, ministry of agriculture, and ministry of environment.
  3. Regular use of certified reference materials and standards.
  4. Internal laboratory comparison tests.
  5. External and internal Calibrated and certificated equipment.
  6. Documents and data controlled and computerize.
  7. Corrective actions for the resolution of client's complaints.
